Thank you for openining this bug and helping make Ubuntu better. We
follow Debian for coreutils; as such, Saucy will get 8.21 if 8.21 is
available on Debian. Currently, only 8.20 is available (sid).

I am closing this bug as invalid, since it has no real utility.
