Title:
8.04 and 7.10 alternate cd install fails at 47%

Status in “pkgsel” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: pkgsel

I had this message while installing ubuntu hardy with the alternate cd
  ct 20 06:10:42 main-menu[3380]: DEBUG: resolver (libnewt0.52): package doesn't exist (ignored)
  Oct 20 06:10:42 main-menu[3380]: DEBUG: resoluver (efi-modules): package doesn't exist (ignored)
Oct 20 06:10:42 main-menu[3380]: INFO: Falling back to the package description for console-setup-udeb

I manually set up lvm+encryption . but while partitioning it get stuck at 47%.
If I don't set up encryption for a partition the installation goes without a problem.

It also got stuck at 47% with the 7.10 alternate cd. I don't remember
if I had the same "package doesn't exist" messages, also with
  lvm+encryption.
