At first I didn't notice it was just midi files; I was trying to play an
mp3 but my queue had a midi at the top entry, and sure enough it is a
midi / gstreamer issue. I installed Ubuntu 13.04 on release day,
upgrading from 12.10 using standard procedure.

Title:
Unable to play midi files Ubuntu 13.04 Invalid Commandline
Status in “gnome-codec-install” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
In 13.04, when trying to play any midi in the default payer, Rythumbox, or Banshee, the playing fails. In two of the players I get the error message:
Invalid Commandline
The parameters passed to the application had an invalid format. Please file a bug!
The parameters were:
-transient-for=85983243
gstreamer|1.0|totem|audio/midi decoder|decoder-audio/midi
I see the report says it is an alpha release. I installed 13.04 from
the Beta 2 Ubuntu download.
