I don't know why this bug was assigned to sysvinit, sysvinit has nothing
to do with the completion. This is a bug either in bash-completion or
in gdm. However, on a current version of Ubuntu this works just fine
for me, so closing the bug.

** Package changed: sysvinit (Ubuntu) => bash-completion (Ubuntu)

** Changed in: bash-completion (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid

Title:
  gdm service doesn’t provide autocompletion of commands

Status in “bash-completion” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gdm

  In Jaunty I was able to use «sudo service gdm <Tab>» and bash tell me: «start stop status…».
  In Karmic it is broken.

  Other services are provide autocompletion, so it is a problem of gdm.
