The Problem still exists in kUbuntu 13.04!

Try to install with Swiss-German Keyboard (i.e. choose it at boot
screen) and there's a "ubi-console-setup failed with exit code 141"
after setting the timezone; later (after ignore)  the installation
completely fails.

And yes, I just correctly downloaded and burned a 64bit kUbuntu Desktop
13.04 image from kubuntu.org.

Try it!

Install kUbuntu in German (Deutsch) / Swiss German Keyboard (Deusch
Schweiz), selected already at boot.

  During intallation process came also an error message:
  ubi-console setup failed with exit code 141
  and the keyboard läyout was not chosen to Suomi(Finnish) but stayed as USA
