Title:
Reformatting with a different filesystem should modify /etc/fstab
Status in Gnome Partition Editor:
New
Status in “gparted” package in Ubuntu:
Triaged
Bug description:
Using gparted to reformat a partition without first deleting it or modifying it should record the changes in the /etc/fstab.
For example: if you have a partition (let's say hda5) which is ext3 and you want to reformat it with reiserfs gparted will not update the correnspondent line in /etc/fstab.
