Title:
  mount.cifs does not set non-numeric uid

Status in “samba” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Using fstab to mount remote windows share with following options
  //storage.server/Share/subdir /mnt/local cifs noauto,users,user,uid=SEE_BELOW,username=Win_user,workgroup=Win_group 0 0

  Using uid=username
  gives me user=root, group=username

  Using uid=1002
  works as expected giving user(=group)=username

  Looks like a regression

  With $ mount.cifs --version
  mount.cifs version: 5.1

  On
  $ lsb_release -dc
  Description:	Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS
  Codename:	precise

  running:
  3.2.0-39-generic #62-Ubuntu SMP Thu Feb 28 00:28:53 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
