  ~/ apt-cache policy zsh                                      
  zsh:
    Installed: 4.3.11-4ubuntu2.is.3ubuntu2
    Candidate: 4.3.11-4ubuntu2.is.3ubuntu2

  the fadebar_cwd occurring right after $prompt_newline is missing a '$'
  causing undesirable output in the PS1 environment variable.
