Title:
update-manager needs authentication but does not ask for it
Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
I (re)install ubuntu 12.04
I have a Samsung ML-1210 printer
the system tells me that there is a driver for that printer
I let the system install the driver
update-mamager reports the availability of an update for that driver
I click <install update>
update-manager says
--
Requires installation of untrusted packages
The action would require the installation of packages from sources that are not authenticated.
--
however
update-manager does not allow me to authenticate that install
(which it should for how else can I install the update?)
