Public bug reported:

Try to install the Alternate Kubuntu 12.04.03 64 bit on UEFI enabled laptop. Dell inspiron 15R SE, with FullHD screen. After booting from the CD, displays a menu to choose, but can not recognize the characters or lines. many random dots.
I can move with UP/DOWN arrows I see some change, with light grey colour.
If I'm success with the first step and got the next screen (assume the "choose language"), its the same. many random dots, grey, red, unrecognisable text.

** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Tags: fullhd installer mode text
