Title:
last update bricked unity, and from xfce virtualbox says me, that i
  dont have 3d acceleration

Status in “ubuntu-meta” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Weellll, thats the thing, im from xfce now, and im not really shure if
this goes here, but its an start.

  before everything:
y just updated with apt-get from console, then i shut down mi pc withouth care(just button), and i was unable to enter from unity (black screen, just mouse, after login from lightdm).
So i started a virtual console to see if there was something missed in the update.
maded an apt-get update, then upgrade, and noticed that some packages where "retained" so i manpaged apt-get and usen dist-upgrade, and the problem persisted, so i entered xfce for wait an update, and when started a virtualbox imagen, it says me that i dont have 3D acceleration (it tried to use it because i activated it for the virtual machine)..
