I think I'm seeing this in the following way:

1. see new image, try to update
2. 100% download completed
3. try to apply and restart
4. get error message saying 'failed to apply'

I can get the latest image if I adb reboot recovery.

Bug description:
  Hi,

  On a new update, it gets automatically downloaded.

  Leave your phone unattended for some time,  press install & restart,
  it errors saying no update has been downloaded.

  Reentering the settings, downloading and installing immdeiately works.
