[Bug 1244294] [NEW] Chinese keyboard after upgrade to Saucy

Public bug reported:

After upgrading to Saucy from Raring, my keyboard was chinese.

I did the upgrade via do-release-upgrade because update-manager did not
show any updates (even though configured show all versions).

I have a little icon in the notification bar with a blue chinese sign.
It was set to Pinyin. I switched to Bopomofo and then I could type with
a US keyboard layout (had Swedish before upgrade).
