  Grub Installation Failure

Status in “grub-installer” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Installing ubuntu onto empty space along side a windows installation.
  Everything seemed to go fine until it tried to install grub. There was
  no information displayed other than it was a critical failure.
  Hopefully there is some additional information in the supplemental
  information added to the bug.
