Could you try installing Ubuntu using that latest point release for
12.04, which is 12.04.3 and includes updates to the installer? Thanks
in advance.

Bug description:
It took hours for Ubuntu to reinstall as new in my laptop and when it
reached 79 out of 129 files to retrieve, the error message said the
installer crash. The time it took was almost 4 - 5 hours.
