[Bug 1223016] [NEW] package git-daemon-sysvinit 1:1.8.1.2-1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-removal script returned error exit status 1

Memory: 7.8GB
Processor: INtel Core i5-3570 @ 3.40GHZ x 4
Graphics: Gallium 0.4 on NVE4
OS type: 32-bit

Unable to install or deinstall any software, for 3 weeks now. Even from
the terminal with -force, -autoclean and -autoremove options enabled
sudo dpkg remove fails on the git-daemon-sysvinit package. I can't even
do a full upgrade of the OS, and it fails on the partial upgrade.

Any help is very welcome, I'm postponing doing a clean re-install of the OS. :)
