This bug was fixed in the package ubuntu-release-upgrader - 1:0.202

  * DistUpgradeQuirks.py: when removing .crash files also remove whoopsie
    .upload and .uploaded files
  * DistUpgradeCache.py: remove unhelpful system error message from upgrade
    failure dialog (LP: #1221307)

Bug description:
  I want to upgrade to the current developing state of Saucy Salamander.
  During the state "calculation changes" the update-manager crashes.
  Also does the same if I run do-release-upgrade from console.
