If the Live CD is not run first and one goes to the installer directly,
it freezes at the "Installation Complete" dialog after the button
"Restart Now" is pressed.

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  The Desktop AMD+mac image from 2013-09-13 freezes hard during
  installation. No mouse movement is possible nor are any consoles
  available.  The machine appears completely unresponsive.  This happens
  each time at the same place on the "Thank You" slide when the status
  bar is about 1.5cm along. Sorry I can't get more info aside from the
  fact that the freeze happens each time an installation is attempted.
