I just downloaded the live cd image from here:

http://releases.ubuntu.com/12.04.3/ubuntu-12.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso

It's still unable to nfs mount (Protocol not supported).

I notice the fix was released (in the corresponding package) on
2013-09-04, but the images haven't been updated since August (2013-08-20
for the one I tried), so it looks like the fix wasn't rolled into the
released image.

While Ryan indicates the fix is available in the dailies, I wonder if
people will know to download that instead (I know I usually don't go for
dailies of stable releases) in order to fix this bug.

Bug description:
  Unable to mount nfs correctly with PXE install server, which works no
  issue with 12.04.2 and 13.04.

  Encountered this issue with 12.04.3 destkop CD image[0], both amd64
  and i386 image have the same problem.
