Install the gdebi package to solve this :-)
This is changed in newer PK packaging.

Title:
Can't install anything on Kali Linux

Status in “packagekit” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
Description:	Debian GNU/Linux Kali Linux 1.0.6
  Release:	Kali Linux 1.0.6
I could not get the version of the package I am using. I think the most recent is what I am using.

I am new to a Kali Linux system and I am having a huge problem. Any time I try to install anything I get this error code

  "GDBus.Error:org.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._pk_5ftransaction_5ferror.Code4:
  SimulateInstallFiles not supported by backend"

I'm not sure what this means but to install anything and do what I
want to do I need to be able to install the software I need and I
can't. Please help as soon as possible.
