confirmed here. You have to set bios to legacy only so ubuntu installer
doesn't do UEFI.

Title:
Lenovo x120e install fails when in UEFI mode
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
As seen here: http://askubuntu.com/questions/121438/cannot-boot-after-installing-ubuntu-on-lenovo-x120e
If you install Ubuntu, 12.04 or latest 12.10 while booting in UEFI mode, after you reboot it says it can't find an operating system.
Setting it to boot as legacy during the install works fine and you can switch back after that with no problems.
