Apologies to bug you like this, but could you be more specific on what needs doing to revert to xorg?
On a regular note is this safe? I wouldn't want to get stuck on the terminal version only in case something goes wrong with the xorg drivers but I'm guessing the upgrade on top of that will take care of this right?

Bug description:
  In step 2 of 6 ("Setting new software sources") after fetching files I
  get a

  Could not calculate the upgrade:
  An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.

  This can be caused by:
   * Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu
   * Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu
   * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu

  If none of this applies, then please report this bug using the command
  'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' in a terminal.

  Any ideas?
