  Upgrade to Ubuntu 14.04 Won't Work

Status in “ubuntu-release-upgrader” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I'm pretty green, so I really couldn't say what the problem is -once
  the new software channels have been set, I keep getting the following
  error message:

  Could not determine the upgrade

  An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.

   This can be caused by:
   * Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu
   * Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu
   * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu

  If none of this applies, then please report this bug using the command
  'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' in a terminal.

  
  -> Points 1 and 2 are not the case -I'm with U 13.10, trying to upgrade using the Update Manager. 

  -> Point 3 is a possibility, but how can I find out?
