Title:
upgrade 13.10 -> 14.04 keeps failing, "failed to fetch"
Status in “ubuntu-release-upgrader” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
I have tried to upgrade my laptop from 13,10 to 14.04 multiple times,
but I always get the same error:
----
W:Failed to fetch gzip:/var/lib/apt/lists/partial/archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_trusty_universe_binary-i386_Packages Hash Sum mismatch
, E:Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
----
The rubric says "This is usually some sort of network problem", but
connectivity to the Internet is fine, and there is no indication at
all of any kind of network issue.
Since you ask for this:
[L:~] lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 13.10
Release: 13.10
