  Software Updater does not open up when updates are detected
  automatically

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  I am using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. When the updater detects updates by
  itself, I see the icon on the unity left panel in green glow - this
  means there are new updates. But when I click on it, the updater does
  not open up. However everything works fine when updates are checked
  manually.
