Public bug reported:
Problem: The Ubuntu 14.04-1 installer crashed while trying to install on
a Samsung N210.
Symptoms: The system booted from a USB thumb drive with the Ubuntu
installer prepared on it via UNetBootin. Everything went fine until the
crash occurred. At the time of the crash, the progress bar was 100% full
and the text near the progress bar stated: "Configuring Hardware". It
then popped up a message stating the installer had crashed and offered
to submit this bug report.
Hardware: Samsung N210 Netbook
2GB RAM
Intel Atom N450 CPU
Intel GMA3150 graphics (part of the N450 CPU)
250GB SATA hard drive
Ethernet internet connection
Installation was done with the "Erase Everything" option that formats
the hard drive and installs automatically. Language: English, Time Zone:
Chicago (CST).
Note: I checked but did not find the log files:
/var/log/installer/syslog and /var/log/installer/partman, so I do not
have anything to attach.
