10.10 reached end of life some time ago and is no longer supported.  Are
you able to reproduce this on 14.04 or 14.10?

  Ubuntu 10.10 installation crashed

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

  I've selected advanced partition option, select one partition to
  format and use as /, and two partitions on different hdd for swap.
  Other my partitions with NTFS and raid I left unused. After several
  minutes of installation it crashed.
