Natty reached end of life some time ago and is no longer supported. Are
you able to reproduce this on 14.04 or 14.10?

Title:
Installer does not detect hard drive

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Natty installer does not detect Raid 1 hard drive set on SIL3114
integrated raid controller on ASUS A8N SLI motherboard despite
gparted, nautilus, fdisk, palimpsest, detecting it fine. It has a
partition table, formated to ext4, can copy and read data to it fine.
Ubuntu Natty, standard install disk. Someone on the forums suggested
trying sudo apt-get install kpartx then running the installer, but
this had no effect, the installer still cannot detect it.

Thanks for the help, I know you devs work hard.
