You tried to install grub to /dev/sda, which is partitioned using gpt
and does not have a bios_grub partition.  You either need to create a
bios_grub partition on that drive in order to install grub, or install
grub to another drive ( and configure your bios to boot that drive ).

  Flashed into an uSB the ubuntu to install to my external hd
  everthing goes ok
  until grub-installer crashes
