Public bug reported:
Main inclusion request for google-apputils-python:
Availability: in universe, architecture-independent
Rationale: new build-dependency of protobuf, which is in main
Security: no vulnerability history that I can see; no set-id or network processing that I can see
QA: structurally-simple Python modules, maintained by Debian cloud team, no bugs in Debian or Ubuntu, includes watch file; no tests (I think)
Dependencies: (build-)depends on python-gflags and python3-gflags, which was previously in main (bug 799775) but isn't currently; perhaps that can just be re-promoted without the need for an additional MIR?
Standards compliance: straightforward dh-based packaging, lintian-clean
Maintenance: should be fairly minimal; I've subscribed foundations-bugs
** Affects: google-apputils-python (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
