Regarding comment #51 : I 've already done the steps in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed to enable and use -proposed. 

Still my system can't find the icedtea-web package:

root at dell:~# apt-get install icedtea-web

Bug description:
  Attempted to install icedtea-7-plugin on Ubuntu MATE Remix and
  received this error. Looks like an upstream bug from the Ubuntu MATE
  team, but seems to affect other users as well. Has been reported via
  IRC on Freenode #ubuntu-mate as also existing in Ubuntu GNOME 14.04
  Trusty.
