[Bug 1209158] Re: GRUB goes into an infinite loop - perhaps. Does not complete the boot process

A bios_grub partition is used for booting in bios mode on a GPT
partitioned disk. You appear to be booting in EFI mode, in which case
you need a 100 MB fat32 EFI system partition mounted in /boot/grub/efi.
Also do not use ext2 -- use ext4 instead.

Title:
GRUB goes into an infinite loop - perhaps. Does not complete the boot
  process

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
ASUS X55U, AMD E2 processor. Initially, did not boot after
'successful' installation of 13.04. Gave error 'insert a valid boot
media and press any key'. Later, after creating a BIOS partition using
gparted, was able to load OS and boot. After booting a few times,
tried to load Chrome. Loaded a few other progs (Libre Office Base,
GIMP, Blueman and few others). When I try to restart the machine the
nbext day, it goes into the infinite loop. So, tried loadinhg OS
  again.
