Title:
Crashed while installing on top of a multi-boot system with separate
  /home partition

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Used exactly the same Username and partitioning to keep my multiboot system as is.
Always do a separate /home partition, apparently some files did not copy properly, possibly security owned by my previous user.
