Bug description:
I wanted to install Ubuntu on a new Toshiba U940-100 so for this
propose I test the live desktop environment.

  Booting with "acpi=on"
When pressing a function key on the laptop the notification system shows the correct icon but the task doesn't happen.
  Eg.
-if I press the keyboard light on the laptop notification show the correct icon but keyboard light don't turn on or off.
-same thing also for the brightness and media player buttons.
  -volume keys are working
  -wifi switch is not working

  Booting with "acpi=off"
When pressing a function key on the laptop the notification system don't shows the icon but the task is happening
  Eg.
-if I press the keyboard light on the laptop, keyboard light is turn on or off.
-the brightness and media player buttons are working but no icon.
