I can't understand your description. Could you provide the exact steps
to reproduce this and maybe a screen shot?

Title:
Partition Manger add installation from i386 does show wrong partition
  bar

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: partitionmanager

  Ubuntu jaunty 9.04 i386 beta

Problem pops up during installation of the system on harddisk

The partition manager does only show a wrong "partion bar" (the
graphics, which shows the partionening of a disk)

I did then go over the last option, doing partionening by hand, which
  did work well.

I had installed before also the amd64 version, there the error did NOT
  pop up.
