It looks like this was fixed. It now only shows one drive, with a
selector to choose another drive.

Title:
Kubuntu: partitioner window of setup does not fits to screen if user
haves many disks.
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Initial conf:
Kubuntu 9.04 beta amd64, live cd, 1280x1024 screen resolution, 3 hard disk drives in system.
To reproduce:
Looks like it is enough to have enough HDDs in system.
1) Launch setup (by using "Install" shortcut)
2) Walk through installer up to "Prepare Disk Space" page of wizard,
3) Look at appeared window.
Result:
On PC with 3 HDDs wizard's window fails to fit 1280x1024 screen by it's height. I.e. window it higher than 1024 pixel of screen could display.
This leads to simple but serious problem: you can not choose partitioning mode. For example it is very hard to use manual partitioning since radiobuttons are well below visible screen area. To display this area of window user have to perform very uncommon and tricky actions.
Notes:
Screen shot attached - you can see, radiobuttons fail to fit screen height, causing numerous troubles.
