A new idea like this needs to be discussed on the development mailing
list and/or written up as a blueprint, and this doesn't seem to be
related to ubiquity, therefore I am closing this report.

Title:
After first boot, Ubuntu should show some useful internet links

Status in One Hundred Papercuts:
  Invalid
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
New idea to help new Ubuntu-/Linux-Users.

After the first boot of Ubuntu there should appear a site with useful
internet links (e. g. Communities, Forums etc.), depending on the
language in which Ubuntu is installed. With this list, a new User
knows where he can find help and support by the community.

This feature is implemented in the Firefox-Addon "ubuntuusers menü"
  (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/8388). This addon shows
many useful links... Maybe you can edit and improve this list of
  possible websites...

(Sorry for my bad english, i'm german!)
