well, the installer never created it. in none of my systems. 
and my home laptop is working fine with Ext4FS.
this office pc was ok on XFS till last two weeks. it always booted, even after several new kernels install.

Could you at least provide a good way to install that partition? or is
it just to create a new one on Ext and install grub-uefi there?

  Invalid

Bug description:
  until the past week, 14.04 was working fine on this system, with a single partition (for /(root) /boot & /home) mounted on XFS.
  since then, it broke, and GRUB cant boot from it anymore!

  I tried to reinstall grub, run grub-install, with no sucess
