systeminstaller has been deprecated since jaunty, assigning this to the
current equivalent. What version are you trying to update to Trusty
from? If you're too many versions back, you may have to do the update in
steps. Take a look at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UpgradeNotes for
some information on what you can upgrade to what.

Status in “ubuntu-release-upgrader” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I tried to install Ubuntu 14.04 from trusty-desktop-i386.iso Jan 15 into old PC.   Installer crashed after laguage selection.
  Nouveau driver seems to cause it.  GeForce 6200.  I took pictures.  Sorry about bad quality.  If usefull I can repeat test.
