I have been getting a red triangle with an exclamation mark and I click
it I get this message. Ubuntu 13.10

Failed to download repository information
Check your Internet connection.
W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-audio-dev/ppa/ubuntu/dists/saucy/main/binary-amd64/Packages 404 Not Found
, W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-audio-dev/ppa/ubuntu/dists/saucy/main/binary-i386/Packages 404 Not Found
, E:Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

I go and try to add these repositories and they don't exist.

Title:
  Failed to download repository information

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Software Updater
After you get the above lovely message, the wrong move is to press "Try Again".
Should you try "OK", then one of two things happens:
Either you see the updates list, or you get a "The software on this computer is up to date".
It is obvious that despite the message, repository information has been downloaded.
As long as you stay away from "try again"!
