[Bug 1338620] [NEW] App update window never shows up

Public bug reported:

App Update keeps appearing on my dock, but I click it, the window never
appears. If I didn't know how to use apt-get manually, I wouldn't be
able to update my computer.

App Update is not locked to my dock.

dpkg is not locked.

Using Ubuntu 14.04.
