[Bug 1339678] [NEW] ureadahead does not trace with vanilla kernel

Public bug reported:

Using Ubuntu's pre-installed kernel, ureadahead does its job. But
switching to a newer self- compiled one, no tracing file is created and
/var/log/upstart/ureadahead.log contains garbage. So I consider it
related to Bug #1085766.

Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Kernel: 3.15.4
Kernel config settings: 
CONFIG_FTRACE=y (and more settings containing "FTRACE")
CONFIG_DEBUG_FS=y
ureadahead 0.100.0-16
Patch installed "0001-trace-add-trace-events-for-open-exec-an.patch" (edited for 3.15.4)
