Title:
Apt indexes can expire quickly, cause failures

Status in “autopkgtest” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
autopkgtest depends on apt indexes on the target being up to date.
This can cause failures when the indexes change, especially when
tracking a development release with frequent updates.

At the least, I would request a small note when this error occurs that
would inform the user to update the apt indexes on the target, then
  try running adt-run again.
