Title:
Installer options (auto-login and encryption) greyed out

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
During installation, choose "Something else" as installation type to
get to the partitioning tool. Use an already existing partition as
"/home" which contains a encrypted *private* directory (see
  https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EncryptedPrivateDirectory for more
information) without formatting it. Proceed by clicking "Continue"
several times until you reach the "Who are you?" page and observe the
disabled radio group and the disabled "Encrypt my home folder"
checkbox. The encryption cannot be turned off because the control is
  disabled.
