  14.04 install fails trying to install grub on install media

Status in “debian-installer” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  When installing 14.04 server, the installation program attempts to
  install the grub boot loader on the install media and not the target
  disk.  I have the installation iso written on to a usb key using the
  Universal USB Installer program.  I boot with the key installed and a
  single hard disk (the target).  When the install environment comes up
  the USB key is on /dev/sda and the target disk is on /dev/sdb.  When
  the installer gets to installing grub, it tries to install it on
  /dev/sda and fails.
