You booted the installer in BIOS mode, which means it is only possible
to install in BIOS mode. If you want to install in EFI mode, you must
boot the installer in EFI mode.

** Changed in: grub-installer (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid

Title:
  Could not install boot loader

Status in “grub-installer” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Trying to install on an Acer TM8473 laptop in EFI mode.
  The CMOS interface does not allow to change the boot mode to legacy/BIOS so installing in EFI mode is mandatory.
  I have specified the /boot/efi partition in the partitioning wizard.
