After selecting my EFI partition be used as EFI System Partition,
installation went smoothly, I think that the installer must not allow
the partitioning to be done if no EFI partition is configured (of course
only on EFI systems)

  I was installing kubuntu 14.04 beta, at the end of the installation it
  showed me a message saying that the installer grub installation failed
  and that this is a fatal error, then the ubiquity crashed.
