Public bug reported:

I'm using Ubuntu 13.04 (saucy) on a HP Pavilion 15-e026AX Laptop (APU
Quad Core A10/ 8GB RAM/ 1TB HDD/ 1.5GB AMD Radeon GPU).

The systems works fine most of the time. However, on pressing [Alt]+[F4]
or [Alt] or [Ctrl], the open window(s) close(s) abruptly. It's not a
consistent behaviour, i.e doesn't happen 'everytime' the keys are
pressed, but only sometimes.

The problem is persistent since the time I've been using it, and a fresh
Ubuntu install did not fix it.

P.S. The system is configured to update the kernel automatically.
