[Bug 1287096] [NEW] unable to install python-minimal during upgrade 13.10 to 14.04

Public bug reported:

Upgrade from Ubuntu 13.10 to 14.04 unsucessfull because of the indicated
error message which python-minimal gives out while installing. I have
sucessfully installed python 2.7.6, python3.3 and python3.4 but I found
myself unable to install python-minimal.
