This looks like an error with the media from which you are installing or
the data on it becoming corrupt in memory:

Feb 27 20:09:59 ubuntu kernel: [ 78.416567] SQUASHFS error: zlib decompression failed, data probably corrupt
Feb 27 20:09:59 ubuntu kernel: [ 78.416570] SQUASHFS error: squashfs_read_data failed to read block 0x6db9602
Feb 27 20:09:59 ubuntu kernel: [ 78.416674] SQUASHFS error: zlib decompression failed, data probably corrupt
Feb 27 20:09:59 ubuntu kernel: [ 78.416675] SQUASHFS error: squashfs_read_data failed to read block 0x6db9602

Please try recreating the media (CD or USB stick) from which you are
installing and try installing again.
